Overview

King’s Church Durham Internship is a fantastic church-based training and discipleship programme for wherever God leads you! It will give you the opportunity to spend an amazing year serving God, growing your character, and discerning and developing your passions and gifts.

Come and join us at this exciting time as we rebuild and reshape our ministries as we are increasingly able to gather together again as lockdown restrictions ease.

We are offering specialised places in our Media, Graphics and Audiovisual ministries and are looking for people with significant experience and skills in one of these areas to work alongside our ministry coordinators to explore and develop their gifts.

Specialisms sit within our leading broad-based Internship programme, offering significant theological education alongside a wide range of ministry and mission experience tailored to your gifts and skills, equipping you for a breadth of future church involvement.

The four key strands are:

⛪ Hands-on church ministry

📖 Outstanding theological training

🙋 Well rounded leadership development

🏙️ Diverse mission experience

If you are passionate about local mission, then as part of the Internship you could also get involved in our Partnerships and Planting initiative, or the Achor Community, our intentional Christian community which seeks to share God’s love in practical ways with the local community of the Sherburn Road estate in Gilesgate.

Applications for our general Internship programme are also open and we’d love to hear from you if you are interested in a non-specialised place.
