Overview

We are hiring for a paid role in an upcoming project funded by Arts Council England, where we will develop new theatrical performance art piece. Specifically, we are looking for a Digital Marketer who specialises in social media (2-day role). The show is going into Research & Development (R&D) rehearsals for one week in June and the week will end with a small sharing. The R&D will be based in Manchester and is due to take place from June 28th – 2nd July.

Duration: 2 Days

Salary: This 2 day role is paid in line with ITC rates on a freelance basis: £240

Dates needed: There is flexibility here but the 2nd July would be desirable for you to attend the sharing.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

ESSENTIAL

  • Proven experience of arts marketing and digital marketing.
  • Ability to devise, implement and evaluate effective arts marketing and audience development strategies.
  • Computer literate, with interest and experience in the latest social media platforms.
  • Enthusiastic team worker with excellent interpersonal skills
  • A ‘can do’ attitude
  • Adept at problem solving
  • Able to make quick decisions whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

DESIRABLE

  • A Higher Education qualification in marketing/communications or equivalent.
  • Experience of marketing theatre specifically
  • Knowledge of design software
  • Knowledge of video editing software
  • Manchester based for ability to physically attend the sharing on the 2nd July 2021.

DUTIES

  • Creating marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, including content ideation, and implementation schedules.
  • Ensuring brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with lead artist and producers, including advertising and brand management.
  • Reporting progress to lead artist and producers.
  • Growing and expanding company social media presence on existing platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Attending the sharing (in the space or a recording if working from home)
  • Capturing some behind the scenes shots of the rehearsal.
